Super Glued to Your Past

When we create we must understand the law of sowing and reaping. Galatians 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” God has plans for each of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.” Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s mind plans his way but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.”

Is your perception one that tells you to be careful what thoughts you focus on? Be careful what you see and what you say. You are painting on a word canvas and you are going to receive your future by your own words, starting with your thoughts. What you perceive, you receive. You are a transmitter and a receiver. The one with the perception has the reception. You really do create your future in your present.

Information comes in thoughts of information that hold possibilities that are flowing from your future, and that are waiting for you to take them captive to observe them. Then you call those thoughts, containing information that are not…as though they are. That is the next nanosecond you are doing something with. By you observing, focusing, and meditating, you cause things to be.

If on autopilot in your mind, you allow your thoughts to flow in at random, without paying them any attention, you are also, by default, allowing your present to repeat your past. Your future becomes your past. That is a big statement, so I will restate it: If you know your life to be nothing but more of the same old thing, it is because you are in your present, allowing your past to repeat itself. Your past is becoming your future. You are super glued to your past from bringing up your past failures. You will repeat them in your life.

The only way out of that wheel is to change your perceptions of belief, which changes your present future. We start by becoming aware of what we perceive. This is good news because we are the ones who, without a doubt, have the say-so over what happens in our life. It requires us doing something different. It requires our noticed and managed involvement, which is why fate doesn’t exist without our involvement.

Even when you think you aren’t doing something, you are. Things by default are still allowed to be, simply because you allow them to be. This is right where the kingdom of evil wants you to stay stuck—in unbelief, lacking knowledge, and far from the possibilities God packaged within you.

When we focus on God, He delights to show you who we really can become. Why, because you house a part of Him in you. Just as any parent watches their child and is proud to see her act like she acts, or look like she looks, God wants to see Himself through you. He wants, and needs you to express Him on earth. He created earth and then gave it to man. He told us to be fruitful and to multiply His goodness on earth. He didn’t say He was going to dictate to us what to do, nor did He tell us to call upon Him for every change we want to make for His permission to implement it. No, He told man to take dominion and subdue it.

Yes, there is a period of time, by God’s grace and mercy, when He answers prayer requests we make of Him. But there comes a time when every father wants his child to mature and take their adult position of responsibility and authority—to get involved with making things happen. He wants us to learn to be like Him through our spirit, soul, and body.
