Positive Thoughts = Increased Energy – Pt.3

The brain in our head operates in a logical or linear fashion. It analyzes, memorizes, compares, and sorts communication. It matches this communication with previous similar events, and then converts that information into perception, thoughts and emotions. If the emotion is already there, it becomes more hard-wired into our fabric.

The heart, on the other hand, has been scientifically shown to communicate with the brain in four ways: through hormones (biochemically); through nerve impulses being transmitted (neurologically); through pressure waves (bio-physically), and; through electromagnetic field interactions (energetically).

When the heart beats, there are nerves that get activated that go to the brain. The brain of the heart detects hormonal information, pressure, and rate information. It translates and transmits this information into impulse messages, sent by way of the nerves. This information is sent from the heart to the brain by way of the vagus nerve and up the nerves in the spinal column. This information enters the brain in the medulla, located at the base of the brain.  These messages then go farther up into the brain to influence the upper brain center’s functions. These signals from the heart influence the brain to regulate many of the autonomic nervous systems signals that get sent out to blood vessels, glands, and organs.
